- Is this just a remote terminal?
- No. A terminal session ends when you close it. An Aldo workspace persists: your repositories, running processes, agent threads, and context are still there when you come back — from any device. You get live dev-server previews, diffs, and Aldo Browser alongside the terminal.
- Do I pay for tokens on top of my subscriptions?
- Aldo charges transparent workspace credits for the machine, persistent storage, Aldo Browser, and access layer. Your agents still use the supported coding-agent subscriptions you already pay for, so running another agent in the same workspace does not multiply machine time.
- Can usage create a surprise bill?
- No overage is charged until you explicitly set a monthly Aldo subtotal maximum, before applicable taxes. Aldo warns as included usage runs low, and automatically applies the next plan's price when that would cost less.
- Will Aldo lock me into another platform?
- Aldo is valuable because agents stay interchangeable. Your code lives in your own repositories, and your workspace is a standard Ubuntu machine. Adopt a new agent, or drop one, without moving your environment.
- Can I trust it with my code?
